Highlights of Events

Move with Us Initiative

The “Move with Us” initiative was part of the mission of the Saudi Sports for All Federation to encourage the community to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. Supported by the Ministry of Sports and the Quality of Life Program, it featured running and cycling races in 13 cities across various administrative regions of the Kingdom over eight months, with more than 16,000 runners participating.

"Run with the Spirit of Green" National Day Race

The National Day Race is one of the oldest National Day races in Saudi Arabia. It began in 2016 as a half-marathon with only 35 runners. Now, it reached more than 3,000 participants from all segments of Saudi society.

Jeddah Moves Initiative

The “Jeddah Moves” initiative is one of the largest health and sports initiatives in Jeddah, organized in collaboration with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Sports branch, and the Jeddah Municipality. Organized by Masafat, it featured walking and running activities in more than 20 locations and paths simultaneously, with over 10,000 participants from all segments of Jeddah society.

Al-Mashaar Race

The “Al-Mashaar Race” event was launched by the Ministry of Hajj and “Kedana” for Development and Improvement in collaboration with Masafat. It took place on the Muzdalifah walkway to highlight the state’s efforts in serving pilgrims and visitors and to promote sports awareness among community members. The event included various recreational and cultural activities suitable for all ages.

Jeddah International Half-Marathon

The first half-marathon race in Jeddah was organized by the Saudi Sports for All Federation, with direct support from the Ministry of Sports and the Quality of Life Program. Masafat served as the technical advisor for the race, which started from the Art Promenade and extended along the waterfront. More than 3,000 runners from various nationalities participated.

Walking Through the Eyes of the Blind

The “Walking Through the Eyes of the Blind” initiative won the Best Sports Event Idea award from the Saudi Sports for All Federation in 2023. It was the first race for the blind in Saudi Arabia, with more than 6,000 participants in both editions. For sighted participants, the concept involved wearing a blindfold and walking or running 5 km with a guide to experience life as a blind person.

Jeddah Night Run

The Jeddah Night Run is the first night race in Jeddah and the most entertaining. It was held at the Jeddah Waterfront, with all street lights turned off and special race lights installed. More than 4,000 participants from 40 different nationalities took part.

Obstacle Race "Youth Towards Challenge

This exciting race aims to enhance participants’ physical fitness levels, test their physical abilities, focus, and endurance through an enjoyable and thrilling experience for those who enjoys a good challenge. The race symbolizes the strength of youth and their ability to overcome obstacles. It includes various challenges such as crawling under barbed wire, rope climbing, tire pulling, wall climbing, and swimming in an ice pool. The event was held in three different cities (Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar), with more than 4,000 participants across the cities.

CATWALK: Arabian Leopard Initiative

The Arabian Leopard Race is an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the Arabian Leopard and highlight the Kingdom’s efforts in conserving it through various initiatives, including the Arabian Leopard Race. The event was attended by the Minister of Sports, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal Al Saud, with more than 500 participants.

Ramadan MASAFAT Race

The Ramadan MASAFAT Race is a sports event held during the holy month of Ramadan and has been conducted for three consecutive years. Each time, it witnesses the participation of around 800 participants or more. The race is organized in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and competition, aiming to promote physical activity and general health among participants during the blessed month. The race is characterized by a spirit of community and cohesion, as people of all ages and interests come together to participate in this distinguished annual event.
